The Blanco Chamber of Commerce requested an analysis to determine the economic impact of the Blanco Lavender Festival on the City of Blanco. The analysis was conducted by LCRA Community and Economic Development Department (CED) staff. This evaluation of the event’s estimated economic impacts include the impacts on local lodging, restaurants, convenience stores, general merchandise stores, grocery stores, and other local retail outlets.

The Blanco Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet is an annual event that honors the Chamber's members, directors and volunteers. The date for the 2011 banquet is Thursday, Jan. 27 and it is open to the public. Admission is $35 for members and $40 for nonmembers. A cash bar will be available. This is our opportunity to present to the community a retrospective of past accomplishments and future goals and will feature a unique and exciting keynote speaker ~ "Dinosaur George"

On Thursday August 18th Blanco Luxury Suites , the newest hotel in the Hill Country hosted the Blanco Chamber of Commerce Summer Mixer in conjunction with their official ribbon cutting ceremony.

WB Saloon & Cycles opened in July at the location previously known as the Texas Ironhorse Saloon on Loop 163/Chandler Street. Nelson Wheatley, the new owner of the property, began remodeling work on the building last year and debuted the new look (and layout) over the 4th of July weekend.
The Blanco Chamber of Commerce is organizing its second annual Golf Open, scheduled for Monday, October 17, 2011 at Vaaler Creek Golf Club. The afternoon promises a good time for all with a shot gun start at noon. Play will follow a four-man scramble format with handicap. The $85 golfer registration fee includes a cart, green fees, lunch and dinner.
